Blueberry Ripening Chart

Light blue, large fruit, delicious flavor,  and vigorous growth.  Fall color is fiery red.  Grows to 4-6 feet tall. Ripens mid-July.  

Bright blue, sweet berries. firm, and in large clusters. Considered the best all around variety for adaptability, long production period, high yield fruit and disease resistance.  The plant grows to a height of 4-6 feet.  Red fall color.   Ripens mid-July.

Long, loose clusters of light blue, medium-size, sweet fruit will hang on the bush for long periods without loss of quality.  One of the best berries for freezing, pies, and even for canning. Orange, yellow fall color.  Grows 6-7 feet tall.  Ripens early to mid-July.

High quality, very large berries with outstanding dessert flavor. The stunning rosy pink flowers turn bright white when in full bloom.  Grows 4-6 feet tall.   Bright red and yellow fall color.  Ripens mid-July..

 

One of the world’s largest blueberry. Long ripening season will provide a bounty of flavorful, fresh picked fruit for up to six weeks.  Plant grows 5-7 feet tall.  Wine red and orange fall color.  Ripens mid to late July.

Excellent for container pot or patio plant.  Fruit is medium to large in size, sky-blue and smoothly sweet.  Bush grows 3-4 feet tall.  Red fall color.  Fruit ripens mid-July..

 

Berries are large, slightly flat and light blue with a memorable robust, juicy flavor.  Orange and red fall color.  Plant grows 4-6 feet tall.  Ripens late July.

 

A heavy producer with large, firm, light blue, sweet, high quality berries. Blooms late but ripens early which protects the blossoms from spring frosts. Grows 4-6 feet tall.  Orange and yellow fall color.  Ripens early July.

Bright burgundy colored wood accents the gray-green foliage and sky blue berries. The berry can be quite tangy unless picked fully ripe.  Fruit is medium-large and zesty.  Grows 4-6 feet tall.  Red and orange fall colors.    Ripens mid-August.

Rich blue fruit is small to medium-sized and very sweet. 6- to 8-ft. bush is a heavy, reliable producer which tolerates a wide range of soil types, and displays orange flame fall foliage. One of the most widely grown varieties.  Fruit ripens in late July.

Patriot makes an excellent container and landscape variety with its showy white blooms in the spring, dark green summer foliage, and fiery orange-red fall colors.  Large, delicately sweet fruit is great for eating fresh, canning, freezing or wonderful desserts.  Bush grows 3-5 feet tall.  Fruit ripens in early July.

The pink fruited blueberry!  This beautiful shrub serves as an attractive ornamental, with white-pink flowers in the spring and crisp red-orange foliage in autumn.  A vigorous hybrid with sweet, firm, pink, medium sized fruit.  The bush grows 4-6 fee tall.  Fruit ripens in early August.

Fast growing and adapts well to a wide range of climates and soil types. Bountiful yields of early ripening, medium-large, exceptional tasting berries. Burgundy red fall color is an added landscape bonus!   Plant grows 4-6 feet tall.  Fruit ripens in early July.

Showy hot pink flowers that fade to white in spring, yielding large crops of delicious berries. It tolerates higher pH soils better than many other blueberries and it is self-pollinizing.  The fruit is medium in size with a rich sweet flavor.  Bush grows 3 feet tall, great for container growing as well as in the ground.  Blue green and burgundy fall colors.  Fruit ripens mid to late July.
